Since waking up to a clear blue sky this morning, I only found it fitting to do an hour’s worth of Sun Salutations. Surya Namaskar (Sun salutations) is a wonderful way to start your day. It not only warms your body but gives you a great stretch and a feeling of openness. You only need 10-15 mins. to complete a few sequences. Remember to take long slow breaths and to let your movements flow with your breath.
There are various ways to do them and I chose to do the version that Seane Corn teaches. It is from her dvd, VinyasaFlowYoga. (Seane is a leading yoga instructor who has led many workshops, teacher trainings and has celebrity clients). If you want to try and learn more about Sun Salutations, click here.
